The CEC is a permanent residence category for people with skilled work experience in Canada. It was developed for temporary foreign workers and foreign graduates with qualifying Canadian work experience.
You must meet minimum requirements to apply under CEC:
- Minimum language requirements in:
- writing
- reading
- listening
- speaking
- Minimum one year of skilled work experience in Canada is required in the last three years before you apply—you can meet this in a few different ways:
- Full-time job is required with at least 30 hours/week for a year.
- Part-time work 15 hours/week for 2 years is equal to one year full time work.
- Should have work experience in Canada while under temporary resident status with authorization to work.
National Occupation Classification(NOC), skilled work experience in O, A and B.
There is no education requirement for the Canadian Experience Class.
